Opened in Cork in 1980 - Mandy's on Daunt Square in Cork was legendary. I can remember it staying open until 4am and reopening again for breakfast at 7am. How staff made that work I'll never know but probably wouldn't be allowed these days.
Birthday parties sat side by side with people on Saturday afternoon shopping trips. These groups gave way in the evening for first dates and late night munches after pubs and clubs shut. The Maxi Mandy was legendary and is sadly missed by people of a certain vintage... like myself.
